In the other Member States of the European Economic Area, a tax reduction may be granted on a case by case basis to donors in application of the locally applicable regulations and in the framework of the European regulations and case law on cross-border donations to organisations of general interest (Judgement of 27 January 2009 - Case C-318/07).

Although every effort has been made to ensure that donors are able to de-tax their cross-border donations, proarti cannot exclude the possibility that your tax authorities will issue an unfavourable opinion on a case-by-case basis.

For donors domiciled in Belgium, the tax receipt is sent automatically.

For people domiciled for tax purposes in another member state of the European Economic Area, the sending of the tax receipt is not automatic and may give rise to additional costs.

You are a private individual domiciled for tax purposes in Belgium and you wish to benefit from a tax reduction in accordance with the Income Tax Code (CIR92, art. 145/33):

In accordance with Belgian regulations, 45% of the amount of the donation is deducted from the amount of income tax to be paid. This reduction can only be applied if the amount of the donation is greater than or equal to €40. The donation is made free of charge, so the donor cannot benefit from any compensation.

Once the campaign is completed and successful, proarti will send you a tax receipt to your mailbox. You will also receive a tax certificate adapted to cross-border donations. When you file your income tax return, you will declare the amount of your donation and you will keep the tax receipt and the certificate in case you need proof.
